Master of Science Study Programme

One starting place for all students aims to establish a strong common denominator and core Geoinformatics / Earth Observation competencies for the CDE Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Programme. MSc students start their studies at the UNIVERSITY of SALZBURG for the first two semesters, before continuing towards developing a special flavor at one of the partner universities:

  • UNIVERSITY of SOUTH BRITTANY – GeoData Science – Specialization Track
  • PALACKY UNIVERSITY OLOMOUC – Geovisualization & Geocommunication – Specialization Track

Copernicus Master in Digital Earth Specialization Tracks

Student cohorts will meet each semester for joint Intensive Short Programmes (Summer Schools), Field Trips and the annual GI_Forum Conference, guaranteeing an integrated experience. Students may move to another mobility partner in the final semester. The Study Programme consists of a compulsory internship, at any organization or at an associated industry partner.

The language of instruction and communication with students shall be English. At the time of application for admission, candidates select and prioritize at least one Specialization Track. Currently graduates receive dual degrees awarded by University of Salzburg and University of South Brittany, University of Salzburg and Palacky University Olomouc attesting the successful completion of the CDE study programme.
