Invitation for Copernicus Master in Digital Earth Student Sponsorship

Following the success of calls for applications to the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Copernicus Master in Digital Earth we are pleased to invite your company/institution to take part to the success of students in this joint Master degree programme as a sponsor!

Any company (SME to large industry), public institution or private actor interested to support a prospective student of the Copernicus Master in Digital Earth programme.

A sponsorship allows you to attract and develop talented students, either possibly attracting them as employees later or jointly translating your research interests and needs into practice during e.g. internships or Master thesis research.

Student selection is undertaken by the CDE Selection Committee on the basis of the academic qualifications and merits shown in the application documents. The CDE programme provides a total of 30 study places, however, the number of eligible (short-listed) applicants, seeking a study place based on an Erasmus+ EMJMD scholarship exceeds the number of students that can be accepted per intake.

Interested companies or institutions agree upon the chosen sponsorship option (gold, silver or bronze) jointly with the CDE Programme Board and Selection Committee members.  A sponsorship contract shall be signed with the student and CDE, valid for the agreed period.

Copernicus Master in Digital Earth reserve listed candidates will come into consideration for a sponsorship, in addition they will have to comply with set agreements amongst the sponsor and the CDE Programme Board and Selection Committee. Selected applicants on the reserve (waiting) list will be contacted by the Selection Committee for an offer. A reserve list status identifies successful candidates fulfilling certain requirements after application and selection procedures have been completed.

As detailed hereafter, several packages have been tailored to offer a variety of sponsoring opportunities from industry or other private actors. For any question regarding sponsoring or if you are interested in any specific option, you are kindly invited to contact the Selection Committee of the Master of Science programme at msc-cde@sbg.ac.at.

We propose following sponsorship options per student:

We hope that you will respond positively to our invitation and become an ambassador to this unique study programme where the potential of Copernicus data and information for education and research are fully exploited in use cases and internships, and in the Master Thesis research projects.

Gold sponsorship is a contribution to living and travel costs, Silver sponsorship to living costs, and Bronze sponsorship to travel costs.
